Diplex Dish and OTA antenna?

Would it be ok to run dish signal and ota antenna signal into 1 RG6 via Diplexer and the "split" it back out at the TV? I would like to run it all together via 1 cable, but I want to use the internal HDTV tuner in my TV (Sony Wega KDF-WE655). Thanks a bunch.

Works just fine.. just make sure you get a diplexer that's designed for satellite... the labelling will have 2000+mhz on one end and the regular 950 mhz on the other.

2250... or else you'll have one set of transponders acting funky.

I would DEFINATELY go lower than 950 MHz. There are HD OTA signals that broadcast in the VHF. Most diplexers I've used start at either 40...or even lower, 5 MHz.

just aslong as the sat side is at 2150mhz it will work fine.
