I need to know if diplexers are duplex devices? I have a setup that is trying to carry a satellite signal in one direction and an antenna signal in the opposite direction. I am having a problem with the OTA signal when a satellite receiver is connected to one of the diplexer connections.

A diplexer is basically a high pass and a low pass filter the ones made for satellite use the high side for satellite and the low side for OTA or cable. (on both ends)
You should not interchange them .

Can a SATHAWK or BIRDDOG run thru a switch?
