Diplexing/power inserter

I have seen a lot of diagrams showing diplexing with the swm lnb, and they all seem to have the PI between the lnb and the diplexer:

SWM LNB --> PI --> diplexer

This would not be a good setup for me because I need to combine on the outside, so I cannot set the PI out in the weather. Is it possible to put the PI after the diplexer so that I can combine on the outside with a diplexer and then run on a single wire to the inside of the house into the PI like this:

SWM LNB --> diplexer --> | house| --> PI

Is this possible or does the PI always have to be before the diplexer?

Depends if the diplexer you're trying to use is power passing on the SAT input ONLY - but you DO realize that you can't diplex on SWM if you plan on using either MRV &/or the Cinema (internet) connection thru the coax...
