First the 500 pound basket ball backboard fell over when we tried to fit the DTV satellite dish on the backboard and fell onto the swimming pool pump and almost drowned us when the pump exploded.

We have 90% signal strength in the upper transponders 26-32 but "0" in the lower transponders 1-25. We have a new DTV box with a used but good dish and LNB. We have tried changing out the used LNB's twice with other used but good LNB's with no improvement. We have shortened the new cable from 125 feet to 80 feet. We have the dish mounted on a stable platform with no obstuctions. Do we need to buy a more modern LNB?What does the "searching for satellite signal ...(771)" mean?

Could be a couple things, including LOS issue, wrong satellite, plumb/aiming issue, short in the coax, and a few other things that are dependant on what kind of dish you have, etc, are you getting any programming at all?

More details please.

Betya,

It turns out to be mast not plumb.

Of course if you mount the dish on a car hood or pack animal...we know that won't work...right?

What if the B ball hits the rig?

Joe
