DirectTV receiver with Dish 500 dish?

Mainly my question here is this:

I have a DirectTV reciever with a Dishnetwork Dish500 dish,
I was told more than once that many others have used this combination using directTV and dishnetwork together.
If this is so, please give me some help on whats required or needed to do so.

Only DISH Network LEGACY dual LNBs will work with Directv. None of DISH'S switches work with DirecTV. try going to www.switchinfo.info/index.htm it may help you.
