No price increase on entertainment pack I guess. Overall not a big increase per package. I'm not liking the $5/month increase AR Free that they kind of hide in the fine print.

What is Total Choice Mobile?

Whoa! $25 Advanced Receiver? What on god's green earth is that?

It's actually $23. That's the dvr fee, mrv fee, and hd fee all in one. It's $20 now and I think it's required if you have the HR34 with mrv.

Exactly, the DVR fee is changing from $8 to $10. If you have the unbundled fees, HD is $10, DVR is $10, and Whole-Home is $3 for a total of $23. Right now you pay $21.

If you have the bundled "Advanced Receiver fee", it is currently $20 and will increase to $23.

So the $1 savings for newer customers is gone and all customers will pay $23 for the whole-home capable HD-DVR services.

In general, the fees on accounts with DVRs will go up $2 or $3.

In general the increases are:

Entertainment No Increase
Choice $1
Xtra $2 ($3 for grandfathered Xtra Classic)
Ultimate $3
Premier $5

DVR Fee $2
HBO $2

So a typical customer with Choice and HD/DVR service will go up $3, which is 3.5%, under what Directv indicated at 4.5% average.

Choice Xtra with HBO with whole-home HD/DVR service will go up $6, which is 5.3%, above the average Directv indicated.

While it depends on each customer situation, the 4.5% average sounds reasonable and correct.

ugh! Why raise the DVR fee again this year?

looking at $5 increase....with faster internet here at the apartment and most of my shows are online, going OTA and streaming might be an option. Or  might have to take up the "free" option through the apartment (but I'd have to get a DVR and thats $200 up front)

Yeah I do not quite get why they would raise the DVR fee again, since they just raised it like what 3-6 months ago. Lets just hope it does not reach the Comcast DVR fee, which in my area is like 17-18 dollars a month. All in all though, it does not look like the price increase is as steep as Dish.

All these broadcasters demanding higher and higher prices are making it hard on us all.One of these days they will price themselves right out of business.

Yeah, HBO is now $18/month. Even the 3 month free Cinemax toss in doesn't make that much easier to swallow.

With the quality of HBO on demand and HBO go now, I view me subbing to HBO just one or two months a year and catching up on any of their series I like at one time.

Who is throwing in Cinemax for 3 months when they order HBO? Thanks for help and reply :)

If you read the fine print, it says $25 with some sort of $2 credit during a promo period...

Advanced Receiver
fee $25/mo. reduced by a $2.00 bill credit for each month that Advanced Receiver fee is active during its promotional period.
