For some reason the installer who was going to put the 5-LNB dish up at my house mentioned "Wistrom" as the manufacturer?

Wistron manufactured 3LNB and Dual LNB dishes, and makes both Ku-band and Ka-band LNBs, so this is, at the very least, probable.

No web proof, yet, though.

You can clearly read 'WNC' on the new KA LNB's with this photo:

WNC is also on my current 3LNB dish, and I am pretty sure that is Winstrom. They are based in Tiawan I think.

5 lnb Dish

Ok that is what I thought , I have installed many of their 3 lnb guys, I was hoping that California amplifier was going to make them, they have a factory somewhere in northern wisconsin or minnesota.

Any difference in the quality of how the dish is made on the WNC dishes vs. one like KTI?
KTI is now Calamp, all will work equally well. There will always be some quality variation within the same brand so they are equal.

I think they all have a "mold" that they go by on all Directv dishes i would guess. The lnb's are a little different cosmetically though.
