I'm a Dish guy, but my father has DirecTV and asked whether he can get locals via DirecTV. Last I heard, DirecTV was planning on expanding locals into 24 markets by the end of the year, but I glanced through the 34 page post on these markets and didn't see whether much (if any) progress was made.

So, what is the status of DirecTV and locals in Denver? I assume that IF they are available, the MPEG 4 receiver is needed, correct? If so, does DirecTV have a DVR MPEG 4 receiver?

I live in a Denver sub-burb.
You can get non-HD channels with a regular dish and HD local with the mpeg4 5LNB dish.

Hope this helps
Bruce

Plenty of progress has been made directly in line with their roll out plan. In fact, all of the original 3 or 4 "groups", or lists, of cities has been added already, and there is already another newer group listing of cities being added between now and 12/31/06. I think the Denver DMA was in the 2nd group added a long while back.

What is HIS actual zip code? MPEG4 HD is in the Denver DMA
