I just bought this HDMI Splitter:

Amazon product ASIN B0891L7XDHView: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0891L7XDH?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1

It works for my 1080P projector but doesn't for my new Sony A80J TV. The image is full of horizontal static lines. I tried pasting a picture but that doesn't work. It would seem to be a compatibility problem between the splitter tech and the Directv C61K.

Can anyone tell me what might be happening? Does the C61K put out a signal splitters don't understand? I normally run the signal to the Sony using an HDMI connector and have no problem. I got tired of doing the manual switching so I bought this splitter.

The cause could be your splitter is 60 hz and the sony80j is a 120hz --just a thought
