Directv for a week now and my thoughts

I'm really liking the picture quality on D*. I did have a Knology cable and they only had about 15 HD channels in my area and they didn't look that good. Had Dish with a 622 about 3 years ago and D* looks better than that also. I have an HR24 and 3 H23's. So far I'm very happy with both. I haven't noticed the almost incredibly slow menus some folks have mentioned. Occasionally there may be a tiny delay, but most times response appears to be about instant on the HR24. I'm very happy with the number of HD channels and what they actually are. I've played with just a little with the on demand and it seems to be very responsive also. Actual 1080p looks very good. No problems with the MRV or internet connectivity. Overall I'm very happy.

Yep, the HR24 is the model that doesnt have terrible remote response issues. Its much faster than the other dvr models.
