so I'm having DirecTV installed tomorrow - switching from Dish as my 110/119 dish is going to be no good as soon the tree in the neighbors yard grows a bit more. that and well I get a lot of rain fade from Dish

two question - the DirecTV 5lnb setup is a tad higher in the sky then dish's rig correct?

And what are the odds that the installer will be able to install the DirecTV equipment using single cable runs; are is DirecTV still needing dual runs per HR2x box?

thanks all

John

you would need a swm lnb for single cable runs. call and find out if this is available to you. if not you can purchase one from ebay for a little over a $100. works great!

hmmm so its not the norm yet to do a standard install with that switch? you would think it would save time and supplies
