So tomorrow the Directv installers are coming out to HOPEFULLY install Directv service here. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm a Philadelphia sports fan living in Columbus, Ohio, I wouldn't bother with Directv. BUT.... So anyway, in this thread http://www.satelliteguys.us/directv-forum/228870-will-gap-between-trees-large-enough.html I detailed my LOS issues. I have heard that Directv installers don't like to do borderline jobs because they are afraid of not getting paid. So, what would you need from a customer to TRY getting LOS on a borderline case? A smiling face, a check, promising you won't bother them if you have intermittent signal issues on bad weather days/windy days? What does it take?

Defiantly not a check.

Cash at least 100 will work. I had my aunts vacation home done and it had boardline los and the guide did it for a 100 dollar tip. but no checks has to be cash.
