I decided it had gotten cold enough to go back on the roof and I aimed the 18" dish using another old DTV receiver that I found. Using the coordinates the receiver supplied (33.1 el 239.2 az, and 54,8 sk) I was able to receive signal strength of 91 on the meter for 101 and 110/119 using the far right connector as viewed from behind the dish.

However when I connect the 18" dish to the CW600, it shows strength and good quality, but no reception on 119 for NASA, Angel, or the audio channels. These channels were scanned in previously using the Invacom quad. A new scan is running now with the 18" dish. Maybe that will make a difference?

Is there something else I need to do to use the 18" dish with a regular FTA receiver? I played with the 22kz setting but it didn't seem to affect the quality reading on the CW600. I do have LNB set to 11250 and 22kz on Auto.

if you are behind the dish, the LNB on the right is the only one that would work.

settings would be LO 11250 and 22k OFF

hopefully you are aimed at 119 and not 101 (from reading your post it sounds like you are)

You were right. I turned the dish and found 119. It was a lot easier using the Mercury II over the old DTV receiver, or the CW600-s which has no signal beeper.
