DirecTV is teaming up with MLB.com and the YES Network to offer the first-ever interactive television content for Major League Baseball.

The interactive broadcasts will launch in July on YES Network's broadcasts of New York Yankees games on DirecTV.

The programming will include:

* Live, up-to-the-minute interactive scores of other MLB games.
* Live, up-to-the-minute interactive in-game, historical and league statistics.
* Instant access to live in-game box scores.
* A bonus "StarCam" camera focusing on a particular star each inning.
* A daily interactive game.
* Interactive access to season results for the Yankees, and their remaining schedule.

The enhanced features will be available at no additional cost to DirecTV (NYSE: DTV) customers living in the YES Network footprint, which includes New York, Connecticut and areas of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Customers living in these areas must have an interactive-capable DirecTV receiver to access the enhanced features.

they can have the interactive.... I just want to watch the game in peace.... Don't waste your money on this stuff..

Anyone know what constitutes an 'interactive-capable' receiver ? :confused:
Something tells me that my poor old E-86 won't get it done.
