With the upcoming launch of new software releases's for the HR-20,21 series for those of you who are not in the CE program there will be a slur of new features coming your way. DOD (Directv On Demand) Is one of those things. I may be wrong but DOD just recently launched NBC Olympics channel and a NBC on Demand channel where you can download episodes of the Office, 30 Rock, and Hero's in SD and in HD for a 1.99. This is good news

The bad news is there is little free HD programs, in fact less than before.

One episode of those rerun shows for $1.99? How can that be good news?

DoD maybe coming out of beta soon but it isn't something you needed the CE program for. It's been available on national releases for a while.

DirecTV Launches On-Demand Multichannel

DirecTV officially launched its on-demand service, which provides subscribers with a DirecTV PlusHD DVR or R22 DVR receiver with more than 4,000 free standard-definition and HDTV titles, Multichannel News reports. DirecTV on Demand allows customers to download programming straight to their DVRs via a broadband or satellite connection, the newspaper says.
