looking to maybe buying one of these, is there a monthy TIVO fee with this unit

If so is it paid to tivo seperatly or is paid to direct tv

You pay a $5.99 fee to DirecTV every month (it will be on your DirecTV statement) for a commentment for atleast 2 years.

That fee is waived if you have the Total Choice Premier package.

All DirecTV DVRs have the fee.

It's totally worth every penny, dude. You'll love it.

Just to clarify, the fee is for every DVR in the house. If you have 2 dvrs you still only pay 5.99 a month.
