We've installed 5 d11/d12 receivers in an exercise room, and
they are stacked on top of each other so I need to use some
sort of RF remote system to operate the receivers without
affecting each other. I'm trying to find an economical way of
doing this without buying a URC remote and an MRF260 repeater.
Any suggestions? I appreciate any help. Thanks.

the D11 and D12 do not have RF capability so you will have to use a 3rd party IR>RF converter with extenders. Or hold the remote right on top of the IR sensor for the ird you want to change channels on.

I may be wrong, but on my d11 under remote setup there advance setup whiche says for use when having more the 3 recievers in one room. I am assuming they can be set to different ir channels like Dish Net recievers.

Thanks for your response. This might work but I need to know if it will
allow to change receiver code so it will not operate the other dtv receivers.

Thanks, this is what i'm looking for is a 3rd party but the question
is there one other than URC (expensive) cause you've have to buy
the rf receiver and the remote control which is about $200 total
each, allow to change frequency so you can operate all the receivers
independently. The RF extender you referred will not allow to change
codes. I appreciate all your response so far. Thanks again.

Thanks Stonecold, I tried using the different directv codes but
only one works for the D11. Other codes doesn't work with
this receiver. The codes I think ends in 3,4,5 etc. does not
work with this receiver, only 2 works.

When I set up bars thats what we usually do is give them 1 remote for the receivers and teach them to hold the remote right up to the IR.

Last one I did had 16 D12's and over 1200' of total cable, and one TV stopped working (input was bad) and I asked if any of the bartenders had any issue and they didnt.

But you are probably looking to change the channels w/o going to the av closet? in which case a nice Harmony setup may be in order.

You need an addressable remote and separetely sold basestation, cheapest on the market is the URC mx350 remote, and add to that the mrf260 basestation.

Thanks Edmund. I already know about the URC remote and the MRF260,
i was trying to find a cheaper way but I guess I don't have any choice.
The URC System will cost about $200 per system x 4. No choice I guess.
Thanks again.
