I know this is probably a long shot, but I figure it's worth asking....
I recently switched from Dish Network to DirecTV at my main residence. I also have a second home where we spend weekends in the summertime. I have a Dish Network500 dish hooked up there. We used to take the Dish receivers there on weekends and everything worked perfectly.
I notice that the same 2 satellites are used for both companies, so I figure the dish I have in place is already lined up. I suspect you are going to tell me that my DIRECTV receiver won't work on the Dish antenna because of the LNBs. I just thought I'd ask and make sure before I purchase another dish.
I switched from Dish500 to it's equivalent onm DirecTV - no HD or anything like that. The DISH Network dish had 2 LNBs but the DIRECTV dish on my house appears to have only one.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.
It sounds like it would be easier to just buy the DirecTV antenna.

Yeah, you can only use the dish network dish that has the one LNB. The DirecTV and Dish switches are different, so switching between LNBs on a Dish 500 isn't going to work
