^^Old Post - NEW QUESTION BELOW

Is is possible to configure your Dish receiver through a Diseqc swith? - For example, you have an FTA BSC621-2 LNBF with C on Diseqc 1, Ku on 2 and the Dish Network LNB on port 3. Is there a way to tell the Dish receiver to use port 3.

I have a long cable run with really good coax, and would like to put a DN dish next to the BUD without have to bury another long cable run. Is this possible?

But, Dish DPP switches do respond to DiSEqC commands so if you use a DPP switch instead of a plain DiSEqC switch, it might just work. I've done this with a DPP44 switch.

Not True

The answer is no, you can not use a diseqc switch any dishnetwork ird

Huh?

My 311 works fine with a DiSeqC and legacy LNBFs. When the internationals were still on 121, I had a separate small dish for it and the 110/119 were attached to the side of my Direcway dish pointed to 116.7.
