I currently have a Dish 500 but I moved and was not able to get the the signal & would if I could only move the building about a 100 ft. north & then I would have a huge building possibly blocking me.

I was told to get the 1000.4 to point it south which I did, I am just waiting to make up the $500.00 for the VIP 922 Slingloaded HD receiver. My Question is once I point the 1000.4 can I hook up the DISH 500 to the LNB on the 1000.4 & what direction would I have to point it to get working active channels please?

I live in Ottawa Canada and was getting my signal all the time for years with the DISH 500 but the signal is just a little too much west for me to get it at this new address. Thank you very much My email is hadad38@hotmail.com

Hi, I don't have a dish 1000.4 but I believe the extra coax connector could be used to add a Dish 500 wing dish (it's a Dish 500 with just one single DP LNB for one more satellite).

The Dish 1000.4 would be setup on 61.5, 72,7 and 77. You could add the wing dish to get 110 or 119. Not really sure why you would do this as the Dish 1000.4 should get all the programming Dish offers. Perhaps you might have trouble receiving 77?

Hope this helps, DC
