installing a dish 500 for a friend and seems like having problems maybe with lnb anyways im using a 2700/3700 reciever i tryed using a legancy twin lnb but said had errors when i did the swicth test so i decied to 2 single lnbs in the sw 21 swicth did the swicth test said also had swicth box problems 119 odd was not detected so i used a legancy quad lnb and it works but when i check out the other lnbs on a another system everything was fine is it wiring or his old reciever not working with the twin legancy lnb o r the single twin with sw 21 or ? does any one have any clues what the problem is with lnbs why they dont work with it ? im using new wire like the installers have using now

Check the connectors. If a piece of the braid or foil touches the center conductor it can cause switch errors. Also make sure the the braid is making good contact with the fitting that can also cause switch errors.
P.S. Factory molded connectors are garbage, about 10-20% of the time they are defective.

If you are using 2 single LNBs both must be legacy. On a DISH 500 run the cable from 1 LNB at a time to the receiver. If 110 both polarities work connect 119 and see if both polarities work. If you have the dish aimed correctly and both LNBs are good connect the SW21 at the dish and using the good cable run a switch test it should work. If it dosen't the SW21 or the short cables you used to connect the SW21 are bad.
