CAN I USE A DISH 500(110, 119) TO ACCESS EA FROM LAKE PLACE IN NORTHERN WI?? JUST HAD DISH INSTALLED AT HOME THEY USED AN OVAL DISH ON ROOF. 2 VIP 222 RECR'S. WANT TO TAKE 1 REC'R TO LAKE AND INSTALL DISH MYSELF. I CAN GET A USED 500, HAS 2HEADS. OR DO I NEED THE 1000.2 OR 1000.4? HELP

The Dish 500 has been used to split 61.5 and 72.7 and another dish and lnb to get 77.

It is not ideal because the angle (12.2 degrees) is not the 10 degrees for which the D500 was designed, but it has been done.

You can just use the dish 500 and satellites 110/119. You won't get all of your HD programing but you'll get most of your SD stations. If it's your second home you can have Dish network install the dish for you there and take a receiver back and forth with you under their snowbird policy.

please turn off caps lock...makes it sound like you're shouting

You could do a D500 for 110/119 but then the issue is you'd have to run a check switch every time you move it between the home and cabin.
