When I called in with my issues on 4.09, they said they were getting a lot of calls and the tech guy expected them to release another version pretty quick.

I don't ever recall Dish reversing software to older versions. Are you sure ? I'm still on 4.05 myself.
If you'll monitoring what spooling up there then you'll not surprise - it was happen many times and have long history back to 2700+ models.
I'm back to L405 as well this morning, so E* definitely reverted the 622's back for those that received 409...

Actually their goal is to eventually have half a dozen different versions available and you'll be able to pick the once that's least f**ked up for your machine right from your handy-dandy remote via Dishcomm.
Seriously though, I was told there will be a dedicated button on the new remotes to toggle the software versions.
