DISH and DIRECTV? Good luck with that.

Why do people believe that a Dish and DirecTV merger could work? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Dish would have to waste time driving their vans to people's houses, replace the DirecTV equipment with that of Dish, messages would be running crazy about this transition,stressing customers out to the point where some end up leaving the service, and would overall look like a total disaster. I just don't see how this could possibly end up happening, and I'm tired of the news articles that are coming up, suggesting it.

Nope. We’ve already figured out both systems would run. Savings would be greater negotiating power.

Maybe after a while, all new customers would go to one or the other. Lord, let it be the Dish equipment.

This would create a monopoly for those of us that live outside the reach of cable TV lines...since there are no C-Band programming providers anymore...
