I wonder how many times these guys have to answer the same questions; and of course, never have any answers to give... :)

But at least he did not say "soon" ;)

I'm fairly sure the sales person at Dish told me Sci-Fi and USA would be in my HD channel line-up too when I agreed to upgrade from my super old Dish Network set-up to the 722 back in late February.

I remember being really happy about that.

I have done that a couple of times. Say leader in HD not, but a great DVR, I don't even think they look

They have to say it. It's part of Chuckles' master plan to brainwash everyone.

Serioulsy, they get in major trouble if they don't say it.

Charlie the cheap as* factory should make them sing songs like at Cold Stone Creamery. I love how all the online CSR's have a name like Tim or John or Sue but it is clear by their choice of words and writing style that they are from India or somewhere. I asked where they were typing from once and "Steve" said he was not allowed to tell me "his" location. At least the dollar is so low now that the jobs will come back to the U.S.. Other countries are outsourcing their labor to us now thanks to our good leader W. I hope you BSG watchers make good on your threats to leave E*. The next E* subscriber growth (loss) report should be interesting.

Unbelievable that there is no SciFiHD today! Charlie even asked Tricia about makeup necessary for HD broadcasts. I figured they would surely have BSG in HD by today. Why else have Six on the Charlie Chat?

There is no news in the Uplink Center this morning. One wonders what Dish execs were thinking. Can't they imagine the insults/contempt this shows customers? That and continuing to claim leadership when they are most distinctly trailing badly.

Three choices:

1. Switch to DirecTv
2. Be content with the SD premiere and wait for the HD version and hopefully watch the endless re-run of BSG on Sci-Fi in HD.
3. Continue to scream at E* for not having on time for the premiere of the show. :D

Whicho one you opt for? I take 2 for the moment until the infamous "soon" be the deliverer.

Lol, today you should change number 1 to find a friend with D* and watch it there. Even switching today wont get you the premier in time.

Watch Charlie flip the switch one minute before premier time!

I choose 3, since I think Potential New Subs should know that they WON't get the channels they want in any kind of timely fasion....and Dish will lie to you, as well as resort to underhanded methods like haveing the slates for Usa and Sci-fi up for 5 months, making people BELIEVE that they were eminante....

I will take option 1. I won't have BSG in HD tonight, but I am sure my alternate source will be done sometime tonight in time for me to watch tomorrow.

By no means am I saying that Sci-FI will be lit up today, but it is too early to be complaining about that. Its only 11:00 EST, and Dish usually turns new channels on around 2:30 EST. DON'T expect it or anything else though.....

I have the same alternate source that I used frequently while WB in my area was still SD.
That said I will be VERY interested to see how my fellow E* subs like the HD DVRs at D*. I will be stopping in a local retailer to check it out myself. Lack of a 30sec skip and skip back button would be a deal breaker, but I can live with software growing pains like I have for years with E*.

Surely Dish network will have SciFi HD trrned on for subscribers by Wednesday the 9th of April. Then we can watch the repeat of this weeks episode and the new episode both next Friday in HD!!!!

Oh wait that was the DREAM I had last night.

The hddvr has slip or skip. You can set it to do either.

I don't agree.
We will take what we can get; but waiting to the 11th hour to make it live, won't win E* any favor either. We all have our timers set and some won't be in the position to change it (thanks to NO internet timer functionality).
All D* subs will be watching it in HD and it's TOO EARLY for E* subs to complain; I don't think so.
Point is moot, as it won't be lit up today anyway (I have an INSIDE source).
