Dish HD vs Disney (DISH sort of won...)

Reads like the rate was the same, but how the contracts were structured made more profitable for Comcast and Direct.

Even if the rates are the same, the ability to move some channels to less popular tiers like AT250 would keep Dish from having to pay.

Hope they make ESPN pay.. They need to learn that providers are going to fight to get the best deal for their subscribers to where ESPN could care less they are going to try make everyone pay.

They say a win is a win,but in this case I'm not so sure.

My gut says,Dish pretty much knows they are going to have to pay a hefty fee for ABC/Disney,I can't help but think that's one reason for the higher than usual rate hikes. When you hear Joe Clayton say our checkbooks are open what else can you think.

Maybe, but ABC / ESPN / Disney gets a huge amount of revenue from advertising as well, and if they see AutoHop as a threat to that they will certainly fight it.

It's possible that the reason we haven't heard Disney moaning about AutoHop is they know they will be killing it off in a few months.

Yeah real sad! But this is what happens when you have stupid people as juries.

Well when they can only make judgements on certain parts you can't put the blame on the jury.

Only on one of the 8 complaints and only for $7 million which was a drop in the hat...

I hope both companies can now work together and bring DISH customers the programming they want.
