I talked to the Dish Boost installer today while we waited on hold for the Boost VIP support. He has been doing Satellite Dishes for over 30 years. He started off with the large C band Satellite dishes. He then worked for US direct broadcast installing Prime Star. He has worked for Dish since then. He is out of the Blacklick Ohio office. He said they are very busy with over 2.5 weeks of work orders. Many of the work orders involve changing Eastern Arc to Western Arc when possible. Although he is fully capable of doing both Dish Satellite installations and Boost activations they don't share work orders. So today I had 2 Dish technicians at my home since I added a Joey 3 client in my bedroom. It was a very simple install since I had previously had a Joey 3 in my bedroom that I moved to the basement. So installation involved adding a splitter on the client line and activating the new Joey 3.
Dish could have saved money if they shared work orders. My Boost Dish technician gets paid from when he left the office at 7 AM till he clocks out. He spent 2.5 hours at my house and then left at 3 PM for a Boost activation in Circleville. So he will probably have a 12 hour day. Of course the other Dish technician installing the Joey 3 was only here for 30 minutes. Most of that time was the Joey 3 doing a software update. He had never seen an installation with 2 Hopper 3 receivers and 2 Joey 3 Clients so I showed him my installation.

Sounds like a really well run organization. Two techs to your house in the same day with one spending 2.5 hours there to activate a cell phone. If I owned dish stock I'd be offloading it right now.
Right, because there's never been a glitch in any technology before, especially cell phones.

And you are working on Boost, right?

Yes my IPhone is now working on the Boost network. I am very pleased with the Boost coverage so far. I had 4 to 5 bars of 5G signal all the way from Marysville to my house and I have 2 bars signal in my house. With T-Mobile I would lose service during the drive from Marysville. The next step is to test the signal strength when driving to Plain City. With T-Mobile I would lose signal on Middleburg Plain City road.
I did a Speedtest and had 117 Mbps download and .58 Mbps upload at my house.
