I was a Dish customer for almost 10 years. It has been almost a year since i switched from Dish to Liberty Cable and have no regrets. Although clearly Dish has the edge on technology (hats off), just the fact that Dish offers only Lite HD (1440 x 1080) against Liberty's Full HD (1920 x 1080) is enough evidence that for us here in Puerto Rico (and all Dish customers) Dish is simply a ripoff. The difference in picture quality is highly noticeable. Even the SD channels look impressive. Up to 120 HD channels available and 40megabites for Internet. Sure, no Fox News, Fox Business but at the end of the day, who cares?
Add the fact that Dish has almost 40 HD channels that are not available in PR due to non signal from 129 although package prices are the same.
At this moment, Liberty is by far the best choice in PR. Directv does not deserves even been mentioned.
