We have great news! DISH Network is offering a free preview from August 19th through September 16th of Setanta Sports on channel 406! Setanta Sports will also be simulcast on channels 653 and 832 during the free preview period.

Setanta Sports is available as an a-la-carte option for $14.99/mo. (or $164.98/year) or $9.99/mo. (or $109.98/year) with a subscription to any International programming, Dish MÉXICO, DishLATINO Clásico or higher programming package.

Free Preview between August 19 and September 16, 2009 – During the free preview period, Setanta Sports will carry events from the following sports leagues:

• UEFA Champions League
• World Cup Qualifiers
• Barclays Premier League
 
The Dish Network Setanta Free Preview is scheduled to end on "September 16th".

No word on when it will end, but Dish often makes changes on Wednesday at the time that happens to be about an hour before Champions League kickoff.

So, if you were planning on DVR-ing Setanta today, and plan to subscribe after the Free Preview, you should do so now.

Crap...u r right....my DVR timers r already set....looks like I will miss them. Cant pay so much just for 1 channel though. It was good till it lasted.

Why is Dish promoting a failed channel that lost their Premier League rights to ESPN?

Setanta lost their EPL rights to ESPN UK. In the US...they r still working & still holds the right to EPL..with Fox. ESPN at the last moment come with an agreement with Fox to share some of the EPL games.

I will also like if ESPN brought up Setanta US & covert this channel into ESPN 3 or something like that...as has been rumored for some time now. They can then put Intl Cricket also on that channel...since ESPN do hold some of the worldwide rights to Cricket to some very important series for sometime to comes
