Weatherscan is no longer available on Dish as of June 24th, 2015. This is because WeatherNation is taking over.

Or perhaps when one attempts to resurrect a necro-post, the mods must approve the post or explain to the newby why it is not good etiquette to attempt what they have done?

If the spot beams are not taking up any additional bandwidth, how about adding government access or sub channels ?

The local weather doesn’t help me. They could easily do it like the cable company used to do it and go to a local forecast every 8-10 minutes.

All they would need is 1 conus channel, and write some software where they need to dump a text file with all the forecast into based on zip code and Switch to that every 10 minutes.

Kind of like that dumb thing some of these cable companies do by making a custom “video bill” explaining the bill every month.

Same code they use for Rainmeter Desktop Weather widgets
