I was trying to watch shows I have recording on my (VIP722) and it will not load the shows I have recording on it. It will only give me add recording option. I was able to watch tv online. Dish Online shows my receiver as being online. Anyone know a fix for this?

This is covered in another thread, it is a known issue and we are working to get Dish Online working properly. We are experiencing this issue from high volume during certain times of the day.

Some times when it happens.. you need to manually log out, and then log back in again ... afterwhich you hit refresh upto 3 times and your content may show ...

the problems in the past few days though, when not higher peak times .... were dish online royally f*ing up ... somewhere between authentication and connection, and that for sure wouldn't be solved by logout/login ..

usually though ... once you've logged out.. the logon process takes a long long time *if* the problem is solely that "dish online over use" issue..

holy hell is Dish SLOW today ... no lie.. FIVE MINUTES for authentication to hand off and come back to a useable page.. I'd clicked something that seemed interesting "Hak5 - Disk Cloning ..." to watch at DishOnline ... NO LIE ... I got busy doing other things.. and suddenly I get some audio feed .. I'm like.. what'? where's that coming from.. it was one of my tabs for DishOnline, finally after about 5 to 7 minutes started playing the content..

And not only is this effecting DishOnline today.. but its also effecting Dish Remote Access ... authentication and login ... 5 minutes or more.. I just clicked to delete something from my DVR ... and the screen is still "dark" as it normally does when doing activity... that was 3 minutes ago that I clicked on "delete" now.. :(

I agree, I have been trying to connect to my DVR since 1pm CT... not even once it has connected...

Got this error just now...

"Gateway Timeout
The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server.

NOT Ready for prime time :)

I've never been able to get dishonline.com to connect to my DVR (ViP 722K)... the legacy site never had a problem, and the Android app never has trouble, either.

The site's unresponsive this evening... and here I'd thought I'd give up Netflix.

When you experience problems connecting to dishonline.com, are you submitting feedback to us by clicking on the feedback button towards the bottom of the screen? This helps us to troubleshoot and work on the issue. You can also provide us the specific information, which we can pass on to the engineers.

would it really? I've tickets open back to May that have never been touched.

The audio/video lag on failure to sync drives me nuts. I realize we have internet issues with high usage and so on - however, the DVR playback is such a failure more often than not - I just give up.

Other services such as Netflixs / Pandora / TNT and other broadcast or cable stations run just fine.

Maybe my computer is too slow I don't know - but it shows just 34% of CPU being utilized at the peak and 35% of RAM. Buffer / page size / whatever we shall call it seems quite adequate. ADSL speed is 7Mbsc and avearge download runs between 3.5 and 6.5 with the uplink obviously slower but well within acceptable rates per Dish standards.

Expecting too much for what is essentially "free" - a "bonus" in addition to our regular substription provided channels? Possibly so - but I'd rather have it never been offered than to spend countless hours loading, reloading, adding Adobe Flash etc etc than to deal with the issues. Yep. I could simply quite using the "service", be it Dish remore or DishOnline - but now that it is offered I, like millions of others am "hooked" and frustrated beyond description when it takes 90 minutes to set up, access, re-access and then watch a "stutter filled" program or movie. It is NOT the computer or my ADSL which is to blame. We know where the blame should be placed.

OK -- I griped -- and am thankful for the opportunity -- it is appreciated. As a long time DISH customer, I have come to realize they WILL resolve 90% of the issues and I'll be happy. Sometimes I long for the "good old day" when we had ONLY black and white and three station (if we were lucky) to view. Life was more productive, welfare was not abused by every flake who simply wanted to sit at home and not work and A new car was $1,500 with all the accessories! AH PROGRESS! SOMETIMES IT IT IS NOT SO BAD --- other times --- it just makes more problems! :)

We didn't have spell-checkers either .... which I needed THEn as well as NOW. Forgive my inept typing!

stuttering shouldn't be happening that much unless your uplink is that bad or you're trying to do HD when you can only support "better" or lower.

if you'd like to go over settings/setup post about it and we can all see if there's anything that might help change / optimize what you've gotten.

My own experience is 20 to 60 seconds from start to stream from Dish Remote Access, 60 to 120 seconds when going through Dish Online (and when dish online is operating normally) and no stuttering on the "better" setting at both sites. I never use HD/Best because its never worked for me (stutters occur, even when in my own house on my own network and seeing traffic hit 9 megs), but rarely have I had hickups on the "Better" setting.
