Dish options now without program guide

I now have the dreaded no program guide on Dish. I am in Ajijic Jalisco MX (40 minutes south of Guadalajara) We have Clear Choice IPTV as well but enjoy the many options that dish gives us. If I were to install the latest Dish stuff on a home in Delaware US of a relative, would I be able to tape and watch here in Mexico if they are watching in the US as well. I am not terribly techy.

If you have a Dish Hopper system installed at the Delaware location, you could install the DishAnywhere app on a smart TV or HDMI adapter, Firestick, etc, and watch the Hopper programming in MX. Both locations could independently watch whatever your subscription carried. Locals would be an issue though. Oh, and I'm not sure if Roku has gotten a DishAnywhere app yet. Firestick has it available though.

I am in a hotel room in WV and everything works from my H3 in VA except the streaming channels. Those don't even show up in the guide.

My 1st gen FireTV Sticks stopped working with DishAnywhere. The 4K and max still work.

I don't think any Roku works due to lack of MPEG2 decoding. I thought my Roku TV's might work since they can receive broadcast TV, but alas the last time I checked, they do not.

I don't have any 1st gen Firesticks left, so that problem didn't occur to me.

I hadn't heard of Roku getting a DishAnywhere app, but I haven't really kept up with what Roku is doing. My Roku TV works quite happily with one of my Max Firesticks installed.

There is no DISH Anywhere app for the Roku. I guess the encryption used is not supported by the Roku.
