I looked at it on my iPad. I simply turned it sideways.

That happens pretty commonly with my iPhone photos.

Our hopper and joeys have been acting strange. it seems they added new icons when you fire em up!!! there's a box that pops up now saying STB Refsw Design under that it shows the screen resolution under that it shows what version of HDR finally under that it shows what version of dolby

in the left hand corner it displays the HDR version again

My Dish guide color and format changed today 1/22/26. It has grey background which is awful and hard to see what channels are recording etc. Anyone else get this treacherous unpdate?

I did call and gave them an earful. The techs had no good answer. They're sending a tech here today but I don't think he'll be able to change anything.

they won't be able to revert the guide back to the old one. it's embedded into the hopper. they would have to write a new guide and download it to our hoppers!!!

Who designed this garbage? Did they hire some rejects from the Windows update destruction team? I wish there was a way to block updates like I do with Win 11 until I figure out how many bugs it has.

The tech arrived and asked what he was looking at on my TV. He had never seen the new guide and had no ideas. Dish did not charge for the visit. Bottom line is there's no going back. By the way, the Movie and Sports guide options do not work. They both include programs that have nothing to do with these categories.

I'm glad there was no charge. There is a wealth of knowledge regarding Dish on this forum. Several Dish technicians are also members. Thanks for joining.

While watching the guide, press Options on your remote, then turn on Dark Display.
That's an improvement for the new guide but still not as good as the old Guide.

The subs always know more than ( most ) of the techs .. weather it be dish or dtv

I have the new guide on the Joey 4s.
One real annoying thing.... the cursor stays put in the middle of the guide. If you scroll the entire guide moves. This makes it much harder to use because you have have the information scrolling, causing you to re-read each line to process the info.
This is a really poor design. At the very least, if they can re-write to code to move the cursor on the page, similar to the old guide, it would be somewhat usable.

Also - don't put the clock inside the PIP window. Nearly impossible to read depending on the PIP contents.
