We currently subscribe to locals on Dish. We have a Hopper Duo with the Dish OTA dongle installed. I noticed that when Gray Media pulled their channels from Dish, we still had the OTA channel listings in the guide for those Gray stations. Also, even though we are in the Fort Wayne, IN DMA, we always get correct OTA guide info for the Lima, OH stations on the Hopper. By the way, Gray Media just bought the Lima, OH stations, which includes ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

My question: If we were to drop the Dish locals, would we still get the guide info provided for the OTA channels on the Hopper?

Thanks in advance.

I want to say yes, as I haven't paid for our South Bend/Elkhart locals for a while and they still populate with our local stations' Guide information.

You should. Years ago you wouldn't get guide information either, but they changed that a few years back, since they are under so many disagreements over Locals carriage. At least if you had the antenna for ota and the usb ota device you could still see your locals and use them in place, till they got the compromise deal through.

Dish 60.0 Remote

Anyone possibly have a 942 DVR they’d like to get rid of?
