I just noticed that E* is about to lose another PI(starnet)..When do they have to replace these channels and what criteria do the us when they chose a replacement?

Dish tried to have all the PI channels at 61.5 two years ago when the rules went into effect. The FCC nixed that idea immediately! Yes, DirecTV does have PI channels at 101. C-SPAN and TBN are two of them. I am not familiar with their line-up, but they do have about 7 or 8 PI channels at 101.

EVENTUALLY 121 and 105 will also be required to have PI channels, based on the number of channels on each of those birds.
Plus in addition to the replacement of the two lost E* PI channels the channel count at 110 may force them to add an additional PI channel. 194~ SD channels on 119, 252~ SD's on 110. That's nine channels PI at 119 and eleven at 110. They currently have nine at 119 and eight (after losing StarNet) at 110. E* need to add THREE PI channels at 110. (As soon as those channel counts become "average".)
BTW: The channel counts at 61.5/148 still require 6 PI channels each, losing SafetyNet they need one more now.
