Dish receiver DP211K

With this receiver when changing channels and using the remote, is it a direct line of site or can this receiver be placed in a cabinet and still be able to change the channels with radio frequency???? I probably sound pretty stupid here but I have nowhere to place the unit as room is very limited. Therefore I wanted to put the unit in a cabinet where it will be out of site. Is it possible with this unit??? I want to get the DishformyRV service and I guess this is the receiver that has to be used with this service. Any and all help would be great.

Line of site, only! No RF for this receiver, unfortunately.

You can buy an uhf upgrade kit for them.Or you can get those ir/uhf pyramids I believe they are around $40,could possibly get cheaper on ebay.

Thanks for clearing that up guys. I did find a UHF kit on Ebay so I may just go that route.

You might check with dish. I bought one those kits from them several months back and it was, if memory serves, $10.

I double checked my info. I ordered it in March 2012 direct from Dish. It was $10 shipped.
