My stupid local radio station has the $#"%$"# dodgers game instead of Michael Savage I, he’s on only when there is no dodger game.

I really want to hear his rant on the abominable gay marriage stuff

So what is the Min dish size for 139

I engineer for a talk radio station where we get most of our programing from 139. It is all encrypted from the networks, takes a $2000 receiver that has been authorized by the network to decode it. You should fish around the internet and find a station website outside your market that is streaming it.

Where are you located? Here in LA Savage and the Dodgers are on different stations.

Besides, how dare you curse my Dodgers...:D:p

Did anyone else think, from the title of this thread, that Michael Savage himself was looking for a dish? :o

Are you still using the old Starguide system?

I still have a few Starguide receivers in service, but most of the networks have moved up to a newer generation of receivers.

I didn't know Michael Savage was ITC. I better spin my home dish over to 139 and have another look.

Any word on if or when Starguide will be discontinued? I still see a number of Starguide signals on AMC 8.

I think the last Starguide I still have in service is for something from Jones Radio Network. The cue tones and built in delay playback is nice on the newer receivers, I wish they would move the last of their stuff over.
You must work in radio if you know about Starguides etc?

No I don't work in radio. I learned about Starguide when I locked some signals on AMC 8 with TSReader and a satellite card. While I could lock the signal, there were lots of errors and the pids were all messed up. I did some research on the web and found out about Starguide. The newer system signals are a lot more FTA friendly. Although the IP over satellite ones like NPR still mystify me.
