If I purchase the HR21 from Best Buy, how much does D* charge to change my dish from the 3lnb to the slimline if I want to get the newer HD channels?

If you get the DVR from Best Buy or another retailer (it's a lease, not a purchase), DirecTV will give you free installation, including the dish. You can schedule it when you call to activate the receiver (which will work fine on the 3 LNB dish until you get the Slimline installed). You might get a better price from Directv, however.

Rumor has it the price of the HR21 will drop to $199 on Monday Jan 7th. Call Directv and see what price you can get.

Bestbuy has them for $299.00 and Costco $269.00 today.
