wonder what the process of handing over two transponders is? is there testing? or do they just take the old programing off and throw new stuff up.

Good question. Did Sky Angel have their own engineers for up-links, etc. Or did they contract out that kind of thing to Dish?

BTW I hope they leave/left those two transponders neat and tidy so Dish doesn't have to spray for "bugs"

Dish was the one running those transponders and encoders. Shouldn't take them long to kill the programming.

DiSH Network slates on the SkyAngel channels now. Looks like they are trying to de-authorize one of the receivers now.

How so? Been watching the uplink thread like a hawk waiting for local HD, SciFi , USA to become available. I checked my E* tuner to see if the Tampa/St. Pete market was truly available and channel 5150 produced a "031" error - Channel not available for purchase.... Are some folks receiving these channels? Am I forgetting what day it is? Or is the date of availability variable?

The answer was a direct reply to the only question in the previous post. "Is Wednesday the only day that uplinked channels are made available?"

The channels in this Report are not available and only changed engineering packages.
