Well, Munro and Associates are now a go-to for mobile device teardowns! Who knew? They have an idea what may be causing the iPhone Duo's inside folding screen to fail 40% up from the bottom:

samsung made the screen apple designed the hinge for the duo. this has got to be the best advertising campaign for samsung

Report on my iphone 18 PM
Working well with about 3-4 days battery life. New BT and Wifi range is much better than the 15 I had. It doesn't seem any faster but probably is. The Camera shooting video has amazing image stabilization.
Only observed issue is once in awhile, the screen loses touch sensitivity and requires a soft reboot and delete the many open apps to fix. This happens about once a week since buying it.
