I just changed my service from DishNetwork to DirecTV. I had no problem setting up the antenna for DishNetwork and finding the satellites. I had expected to be able to use the same antenna, (dish), for my DirecTV network. However, I cannot find the satellites or get any signal.
My DishNetwork antenna is a "Dish 500". Is it not compatible with the DirecTV satellites? It's a dual LNB antenna.

Welcome to Satelliteguys!!

If you are a new Directv customer why not get their free installation with up to I think it's 5 rooms?

Dish Network LNBs and dishes work fine with DirecTv, Voom, etc. The Multiswitches are not always compatible. Did the 500 come with two SW41 switches?

Also Dish uses primarily satellites at 110 degrees and 119 degrees. DirecTv uses primarily 101 degrees with many locals at 119 and HD at 110 (generally). If you have one receiver, try to aim for 101 satellite and remove all multiswitches so you use on only one LNB (at least for testing purposes to find the satellite).
