Usually any nostalgia itch for me is scratched with one or two episodes of an old show or even just a clip on YouTube. I can't imagine paying for a streaming service to watch old stuff when there's so much better new stuff I don't even have the time for across all the services.

I read Disney was opening the vault for Disney plus I bought it fir the classic disney
The Disney starwars marvel crap
Is crap I joined for vintage Disney

Watched The Santa Clause. Not much of an HDR effect really. Didn't really look any different than the BD. Still our day after Thanksgiving watch,

Escaping from the real world to something less complicated and noddingly familiar seems quite popular with some. Best do it without chemicals.

I wouldn't call the new content "better", just more culturally relevant. There's some important lessons to be learned about how others are dealing with the issues of today. Most of us have already ironed out how we're going to approach the issues of the 20th century.

The old stuff like Zorro or spin and Marty has not been seen is 50 years
And people want Hundreds of dollars for the dvds
So Disney plus is our chance
So see stuff locked in a vault at Disney for 50 plus years

Of course there are many of us that watch TV shows and movies for the entertainment value alone. Personally I don't watch scripted and reality show for education or other things. Pure entertainment for me.

It is nice to know that I can watch things that are not about dealing with modern problems if I so choose.

I have Follow the Boys as well as Spin & Marty (1st season), some Micky Mouse Club, and the Hardy Boys on DVD. I am a real Disney fan and I buy up a lot of it via thrift stores, Goodwell, and on line. But the Wonderful World of Disney, most has never been released on DVD. There are a few from the early days like Sammy the Way Out Seal, but not many. The internet list of Disney movies is huge. I am hoping they most end up on Disney Plus.

I keep finding oddball things in 4k, Disney's The Bears and I, a movie from the early 70's that i remember seeing when I was a child.

Not only that but many 4K UHD HDR movies are directed to have a flat lacking contrast too.

I feel the same way. I have watched some new stuff, but I like the old Disney Vault material the best. Sammy The Way Our Seal, I remember watching as a kid. I would like to see the Gallagher series from the 60s.

Yes, I recently ran off a list of TV movies Disney had done from the 40s on, and many ones I had forgotten about like the Adventures of Gallagher , and others were listed. I hope Disney+ runs those. Many have not been seen in decades.
