Distance from reciever.

Hello all,

Thanks to all of you who had replied to my previous post! I have decided not to take the neighbors 7 1/2 foot dish at the present moment (maybe down the road) and have purchased a new FTA motorized system.

Fortec Mercury II
90CM dish
PowerTech DG240
QPH031 LNB.

Is there a specific distance that I need to be from the reciever to the dish itself? I would like to place the dish about 150' from the house, thus running about 150' or so of cable. I do have enough RG6 and also RG11. Is this going to be a problem?

From the posts I've seen here in the past, I don't think there are any worries.

150' of RG6 is no problem at all.

Ive got 150' feet of Commscope RG6 and using Geosat Bullet LNB. I have no problems with signal loss.

150 is OK. I've seen 250 feet on good RG6 with no issues
