I absolutely loved the Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars concert that they've been showing. That was really cool. I'd never seen David Bowie perform before.
I think too many people are thinking this is some Gay Porn channel, when really it's just a channel for some of the more "artsy" movies.

Well i don't care what they show. but i dont want ads for it showing up on other channels. especially in those "red couch" things. then it gets irritating.
If it was gay porn I would agree that it is not appropriate, but it isn't. It is a collection of standard movies and shows with a possible gay theme or charactor. And that is stretching it. How many would ban Tom Hanks in his Academy Award winning performance in Philadelphia?
Now as to the presenters. I don't like drag in any form and that is what I find objectionable. This is a stereo type of all gay people. My wife and I like the choice of movies but not the drag.

There have been some good movies shown on Devine. I also enjoyed the David Bowie concert, and also watched Madam Butterfly.
I do think that they are overdoing the entire "Gay" think especially when they keep harping it on the red couch segments.
I find it funny they have a guy in drag doing the announcements for the channel, I know for many gay folks they can't stand guys in drag. I had a gay friend once tell me "If I was attracted to someone in a miniskirt and fishnets I would have stayed straight." I guess he had a point.
As I said before if they did not call it a Gay / Lesbian Channel I really would have never known.

What a shocking ending on Madam Butterfly!!!! I find Hedda Lettuce, the channel host, is very entertaining.
I don't like the cross airing of any promos for any of the channels on another channel. Just tell me what's comming up on that channel. We have a guide to see what is on all the channels anyway.
Although we don't have much control over the promos on other channels, we do have the ability to lock out channels. If the channel offends that much just lock it out.

I find the programs on Devine entertaining. Looking forward to "Priscilla, Queen of The Desert" and "The Producers." Cross airing promos might be questionable. But have you ever checked out the "Family & Kids" listings? Some listings are very questionable.
You may think at these times how "confused and deviant" we have become, when I look back at the 70's I see that this was nothing compaired to what was going on back then.

It's all a pendulum, baby. Just like the 80s needed a great man to return the nation to sanity, so too will the near future. Neither of the current choices are up to the task, sadly.
To stay somewhat on topic, I've yet to see a program on Divine that I'd want to watch. Sadly, I haven't seen any on Gunslingers either. It's so pathetic Voom pays more attention to filling out it's gay channel than its Western channel. You own Shane Voom, play it!

Don't care either way about the channel itself. I can block it. Just hate all the gayiety promoted on regular channels that kids may be watching. I was pissed at ABC last night, promos in prime time for a show about wife swapping and another about cheating wifes. Just what you want your kids to see.
The degree of "deviant or disgusting" doesnt matter. It doesnt matter whether one shoots someone with one bullet or 10 bullets, its still murder. If voom wants this perversion on a channel then fine, theres nothing users can do about it. But advertising it on all the other channels is wrong.
