We had this problem a few months ago -- I can't tell exactly when, because the forum search seems to be borked (see my post in the ops forum.) It's happening again, last night and tonight.

I tried out the Weather interactive channel a few days ago (213), and afterwards ALL my channels were stuck letterboxed on my 722k. The * key did nothing to change it, even though it did cycle through the different modes. I ended up rebooting my receiver, and then it was back to normal.
DIY was fine on EA tonight. At one time the VIP series did have the problem as described by primestar31, however that was fixed a long time ago on my receivers.
So it was a issue, but supposedly was fixed? I wonder why my receiver did it? That's the very first time I ever even tried that channel. I've been scared to try it again, lol. Maybe it was a one-time thing though. I'll try ti again some other time, eventually...
lol nothing to be scared of, resetting the receiver puts it back to normal. But yes it was an issue quite some time ago and my receivers have not had that issue since. It was a problem with going to the interactive channels. I can't find the thread about channel 100 but here is the one for the weather app.
