dmx c-band questions

I have a 31" skytech and an 84e primestar. I have a c-band lnb, thats i bought at a good deal thats not in use. has anyone successfully got dmx c-band on a small dish (i.e. the 84e primestar) with a c-band lnb. and are any special receivers needed? i have azbox viewsat 2000 sonicview 4000 & coolsat 6100. thanks

Your dishes are too small for C band reception. DMX is in DVB-S AC-3 audio on Galaxy 17. They are also in Digicipher 2 FP mode on AMC 18. A 6 foot dish would be minimum recommended for either.

well i only ask because i know some ppl have been able to pull certain TPs c-band on small dishes and i was curious to see if the dmx one was strong enough to do so. dvb-s would be great, anyone know if its on a strong TP?

Your boxes are fine. Which Azbox? The Azbox HD's will decode the most available signals.

I have Cband with a dsc421 on a n 84e. Go with the 84e. Do you have a motor?
What are you trying to receive?

I get a 99 Quality on my 12 foot C band dish. It may be a good quality signal. You
need someone with a smaller dish to report back in.

I can barely pick them up in Southern California with a 1.2 Meter dish, reception on the east coast might be better.

i doubt it would be that much better to make a lock on a primestar. I will just have to keep an eye out for a big guy getting thrown out... which brings me to another question... which i will put in a new post
