I first got it on my H24-700 then a couple of weeks later it showed up on my HR20-700s. It is definitely faster than the old SD guide. I would find it hard to go back to the old SD guide.

Stupid stupid question:
Can someone explain to me when to try and and force a download on the HR24/100 ... The firmware watcher site currently says:

01:03:14 11/26/2011
00:55:45 11/26/2011

What does that mean?

Time when the firmware was in the stream. It's Pacific time.

Not a lot of members here have received this update via a normal download.

Anyone know if there has been a delay?

It hasn't been pushed to regular customers outside of Las Vegas yet, at least as far as I know.

Ok, thats what I thought too, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

You can't predict what's going to appear, but the windows are generally the same.

Thanks. I already forced it but I've been wondering when it would show up on its own.

As I said before, I forced the HD guide a week ago. I noticed right away the phenomenal increase in speed on my HR22. I also noticed better PQ. Don't know if it's the upgrade or if my receiver just needed a shake up because other niggling little issues are gone. Like 30skip alwsys works now. One other thing I've noticed: I am almost certain that either my DVR now has possibly +\-5% more capacity or is just displaying that. I don't think it's my imagination (lol). I haven't deleted a lot & my usual recordings are still going...

Anyone else notice this? Maybe I AM imagining it! :-)

My receiver: HR20/700
November 30 , I did a CD download
System Setup – Info Test shows: Software: 0x4d9
The only change is I can move through the guide much faster.
Will I receive the other features of the HDGUI?

Just be patient. It's coming:

Joel, is it Blue or Black, if it's Black it's the New HD Gui, otherwise it's Blue and the old SD one !

It is blue.

The information I received from Directv is "The new on screen guide will be available on all HD DVR and HD Receivers, model H21 and later."

So, it appears the HR20/700 does not get the New HD Guide; but it get a much faster old SD Guide.

It will get the black one when it's your DMA's turn to get it.
I hope you are right.

Directv has told me even when my DMA gets the roll out - my HR20/700 will not get the HD -Guide. But, I was told at that time I may be able to do a free swap of my old receiver for a newer receiver that has the new HD-Guide.
