Effective September 9, 2009, The Documentary Channel will [FONT=Arial,Arial][FONT=Arial,Arial]no longer be carried as a public interest channel [/FONT][/FONT]and will be moved into the Classic Bronze 100 and higher programming packages. This change will affect both new and existing customers. ​

Prior to September 9th, all DISH Network customers with an applicable antenna pointed to the 110° or 72.7° orbital locations were able to receive The Documentary Channel. Effective September 9th, [FONT=Arial,Arial][FONT=Arial,Arial]new and existing customers will not receive The Documentary Channel unless they subscribe to the Classic Bronze 100 or higher [/FONT][/FONT]programming package. ​

Isn't that channel 197 ? I'm an Absolute HD customer and currently get it. Is that because it's currently, or was, a PI channel ? I wonder if we (AHD customers) will lose it...
