Effective September 9, 2009, The Documentary Channel will [FONT=Arial,Arial][FONT=Arial,Arial]no longer be carried as a public interest channel [/FONT][/FONT]and will be moved into the Classic Bronze 100 and higher programming packages. This change will affect both new and existing customers.

Prior to September 9th, all DISH Network customers with an applicable antenna pointed to the 110° or 72.7° orbital locations were able to receive The Documentary Channel. Effective September 9th, [FONT=Arial,Arial][FONT=Arial,Arial]new and existing customers will not receive The Documentary Channel unless they subscribe to the Classic Bronze 100 or higher [/FONT][/FONT]programming package.

Isn't that channel 197 ? I'm an Absolute HD customer and currently get it. Is that because it's currently, or was, a PI channel ? I wonder if we (AHD customers) will lose it...
