Does the Wally require a specific type of HDMI port on the TV? My newer Sharp TV has 3 HDMI ports: ARC, MHL, and DVI. The Apple TV is connected into the MHL/HDMI port. Can the Wally be plugged into the ARC/HDMI or DVI/HDMI port?

Also, my older Sharp TV has 4 HDMI ports but they are just labeled "HDMI" in the owner's manual and on the TV itself. Will the Wally be OK connected to one of these "older" HDMI ports?

Technically the DVI port is NOT an HDMI port, DVI spec does not have to include audio and was mostly used on computers. Here is a picture of both ends of a DVI to HDMI adapter. The DVI is on the left.

Are you saying that the HDMI port on my TV labeled with "DVI" is not a true HDMI port? Then it can't be used by the Wally?

BTW, thanks for the info.

You can use that port for the Wally, it'll function as an HDMI port or work with a DVI to HDMI connector.

The ARC and MHL ports are a specific expansion or variant of HDMI whereas DVI is the video portion of HDMI only - as I understand it. Why they would use that label today is strange it is almost an an acronmism as DVI has been supplanted on the PC by Display Port.
